DEMONICA

A former gang member must recruit a Jesuit priest to help save her younger sister from not only the Mexican cartel, but the demon that's possessing her body.

Set against the backdrop of the volatile Mexican border, deMonica plunges viewers into a world where the dangers of the past are not mere phantoms but living, breathing threats lurking around every corner. Here, the lines between good and evil are as blurred as the desert heat. At the center of this gripping tale is Maye, a former sicaria burdened by the weight of her violent past, who must confront her demons when her sister, Monica, falls prey to a sinister force.

Driven by an unwavering determination to rescue her sister, Maye returns to Matamoros, the tumultuous and violent town she once fled and enters a local brothel run by a mid-level narco named Kilo. There, she finds Monica possessed by a malignant entity, and unrecognizable. Maye must seek the aid of the infamous exorcist Father Lopez, a Jesuit priest north of the border.

DISPLACED

Emma and Adam arrive in an unfamiliar city, hoping for a fresh start before the birth of their first child. With little money and few options, they settle into a decaying apartment on the edge of town, the only place they can afford. Heavily pregnant, Emma clings to hope, while Adam, more cautious, senses something is off. Still, they try to believe this will be the beginning of something better.

But by the next morning, their hope dissolves into stark terror. The windows and doors are gone. There is no exit. No signal. No sound but their own voices. Panic sets in as they desperately try to carve a hole through the wall, and all sense of time begins to warp and disappear. As terror grows, the couple begins to fracture, emotionally and physically. The longer they remain trapped, the more their bodies deteriorate. Adam suffers the most. What began as a minor wound festers into a grotesque infection, his body undergoing a horrifying transformation. His skin bruises and splits, his limbs twist, and he becomes a nightmarish reflection of his former self, a pulsing, grotesque figure Emma barely recognizes. With Adam growing weaker by the day, Emma's fight to protect their unborn child becomes a desperate struggle for survival within this inescapable prison.

Just as despair threatens to consume them entirely, a flicker of hope emerges. A disembodied voice on an internal speaker crackles to life, and a cheerful orientation video begins to play on an old television set. It welcomes them to the DROMOS Institute and their “naturalization process." It's then that Emma discovers that their suffering is no accident. Their confinement is not random; its an experiment designed by an ominous faceless corporation... and when everything is revealed, their journey takes on a devastating new meaning.

What began as a search for a better life descends into a visceral nightmare of decay, isolation, and the horrifying realization that their journey held a tragic, irreversible end from the start.

“Displaced" explores what happens when systems promise new beginnings but only deliver obliteration.
